It is my great honor and privilege to welcome you to the Ministry of Fisheries & Ocean Resources (MFOR) Website. The purpose of this website is to provide you with the fore, factual and up-to-date information about my Ministry's services and activities.

My Ministry plays a vital role for the Government in maximizing economic returns from the nation's key resource, which are at this point in time fish and marine resources and in ensuring that in generating these economic values, we remain responsible custodians in conserving and policing our oceans and marine resources for future generations.

This website is also a very important aspect of my Ministry in its step to promote responsible and sustainable fisheries practices via good governance while contributing to reduce poverty and create a wealth for the peoples of my country.

I hope that this website will have a great benefit to the general public, the government and all stakeholders engaged in fisheries and fish related activities at national, regional and international level.
